Sushi Chef | Sushi Zanmai | Colorado | 2021 - 2022

● Started as an ingredient preparation chef, but was quickly promoted into a customer facing role within the first month due to fast learning and attention to detail

● Learned to cut and prepare large and expensive cuts of fish, normally a responsibility for a well seasoned chef (4-5 yrs experience)

● Worked busiest weekend nights and helped run sushi bar working as the number 2 sushi Chef out of 6 on shift after just 8 months, fastest promotion in company history

● Communicated and worked with customers needs and difficult requests​

● Learned further attention to detail while constructing large platters that would delight both the eye and the palette

● Started as a busser, quickly moved up to a kitchen role and then even quicker into a management role for the kitchen at 2 locations.

● Was responsible for the crew on shift, ran the oven, food timing, and pizza/ingredient prep

● Managed 7 employees per location

● Did morning prep for restaurant on weekends

● Night time shifts on weeknights and trusted by owner to facilitate restaurant closing
